Job summary

Vermelo RPO is actively recruiting a Commercial Manager - Retention for a leading UK insurance business. This hybrid role requires two office days per week and focuses on delivering retention initiatives, turning data insights into measurable outcomes, and coordinating cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering commercial, customer, or operational initiatives in a complex fast paced environment.
• Strong organisational capability with a proven ability to drive actions through to completion.
• Commercially minded with strong analytical skills and the ability to translate insight into action.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to challenge, influence, and build consensus.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and competing demands.
• Experience within UK General Insurance is highly desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of the customer retention roadmap, turning strategic priorities into tangible actions and outcomes.
• Own the day-to-day management of retention initiatives, ensuring plans are delivered on time.
• Coordinate activity across pricing, operations, proposition, risk & compliance, and other key stakeholders to drive execution and remove barriers.
• Track performance against agreed objectives, providing regular updates and highlighting risks and opportunities.
• Use data and insight to identify trends, support decision making, and prioritise areas of focus.
• Facilitate cross functional discussions to build alignment and momentum across key initiatives.
• Support the preparation of retention performance reviews, ensuring actions are tracked and delivered.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, customer outcomes, and commercial performance through effective implementation and continuous improvement.
