Job summary

Markerstudy Retail seeks an ambitious Commercial Manager to drive retention excellence within a newly created function. You will work closely with the Head of Retention to translate data and insight into measurable business outcomes.

This hybrid role involves coordinating across pricing, operations, proposition, risk & compliance, and other stakeholders to deliver retention initiatives and improve commercial performance.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering commercial, customer, or operational initiatives in a complex fast paced environment.
• Strong organisational capability, with a proven ability to drive actions through to completion.
• Commercially minded with strong analytical skills and the ability to translate insight into action.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to challenge, influence, and build consensus.
• Experience within UK General Insurance is highly desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of the customer retention roadmap, helping to turn strategic priorities into tangible actions and outcomes.
• Own the day-to-day management of retention initiatives, ensuring plans are delivered on time.
• Coordinate activity across pricing, operations, proposition, risk & compliance, and other key stakeholders to drive execution and remove barriers.
• Track performance against agreed objectives, providing regular updates and highlighting risks, opportunities, and dependencies.
• Use data and insight to identify trends, support decision making, and prioritise areas of focus.
• Facilitate cross functional discussions to build alignment, secure buy in, and maintain momentum across key initiatives.
• Support the preparation of retention performance reviews, ensuring actions are tracked and delivered.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, customer outcomes, and commercial performance through effective implementation and continuous improvement.
