Job summary

Iceland Foods Ltd in the United Kingdom is looking for a committed and passionate Team Leader to join our growing store team in Newport. You will work as a Retail Assistant and receive a £2 per hour supplement for the time you manage shifts.

Key responsibilities include maximising profit through great product availability, driving sales, and delivering actions set by your line manager, while engaging and developing store colleagues, promoting an inclusive culture, and following our standard

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail management or supervisory role ideal but not essential.
• Communicates effectively with every colleague to deliver store tasks first time, every time.
• Plans and organises the shift, using every member of the team.
• Provides balanced feedback when needed to improve the performance of every colleague.
• Sets the pace of the team, when on shift, by being hands on to deliver a great store.

Responsibilities

• Maximise profit: focus on great product availability, drive sales and deliver actions set by the line manager.
• Engage, develop & retain great people: support Talking Shop Rep, engage the team, promote an inclusive culture and up-skill colleagues.
• Doing the right processes: follow cash handling, security policies and implement One Best Way processes.
• Leadership: lead the team to deliver excellent customer service and a well-run store.
