Job summary

Trust Payments in Bournemouth, UK, is seeking a senior Solution Architect to join the Retail team. You will own technical designs for our SaaS platform, collaborating with product and development to drive architecture across software and infrastructure.

You will document decisions clearly, mentor development teams, ensure security and regulatory compliance, and participate in an on-call rota to provide 24/7 support when needed.

Qualifications

• Define and design end-to-end technical solutions aligned with business requirements and technical direction
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and Product Owners, bridging the gap between product and technical teams
• Create high-level and low-level architectural designs, diagrams, and documentation
• Propose appropriate technologies, frameworks, and platforms, selecting the best options in collaboration with the Technical Lead
• Ensure designed solutions are scalable, reliable, secure, and maintainable
• Serve as the technical authority throughout the development lifecycle across all teams
• Guide and mentor development teams on architectural decisions and best practices
• Conduct code and design reviews to ensure adherence to architecture standards
• Ensure solutions comply with security, regulatory, and compliance requirements
• Assist in evaluating and managing technical debt, identifying risks and proposing mitigation strategies
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, internally and with external client
