Job summary

Computappoint is partnering with a leading UK rail sector organisation in Central London seeking a Solution Architect to shape cloud-first solutions across critical systems. You'll design end-to-end architectures in AWS and/or Azure, lead integration efforts, and collaborate with stakeholders, security teams and vendors to deliver scalable, secure platforms.

This role offers hybrid working 1-2 days onsite, exposure to data and analytics, and clear progression within a strategic architecture

Qualifications

• Experience as Solution Architect or similar architecture role.
• Background in software engineering or systems integration.
• Designing solutions in AWS and/or Azure environments.
• Strong knowledge of API-led architecture and integration patterns.

Responsibilities

• Design and govern end-to-end solution architectures across programmes.
• Translate business needs into scalable designs and artefacts.
• Lead technical evaluations, PoCs and vendor assessments.
• Produce architecture documentation and diagrams.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, security and delivery teams.
• Ensure alignment with governance and best practices.
• Support implementation and operational transition of new services.
• Contribute to technology strategy and roadmaps.
