Job summary

Tesco is hiring a Shift Lead to help run store operations and deliver great customer service. You’ll supervise teams, coordinate daily tasks, and ensure smooth service during your shifts in a fast-paced retail environment.

Expected hours are a minimum of 16 hours per week with many stores offering more; pay starts at £15.59 per hour and rises to £16.86 within the M25. We value teamwork, flexibility and a commitment to serving customers and communities.

Qualifications

• Over 18 or older to apply.
• Experience in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Strong communication and customer-service focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team to deliver a great in-store experience for customers.
• Coordinate day-to-day store tasks and respond to queries.
• Build positive, inclusive relationships with colleagues to support performance.
• Step in as manager in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Make balanced decisions and adapt quickly to changing circumstances.
• Coach colleagues and provide feedback to maintain service standards.
• Seek opportunities to serve customers and the community.
