Job summary

BardWood Support Services is seeking a Retail Security Support Officer to patrol multiple retail locations, monitor entries and exits, and protect staff and visitors. You will respond to incidents, operate theft-detection devices, and manage crowds while maintaining customer relations.

The role requires a current SIA licence, a solid 5-year work history, and physical fitness. A full UK driving licence and own vehicle are advantageous for covering surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• SIA Licence is required.
• Minimum 5-year checkable work/career history.
• Experience in a similar security role is advantageous.
• Physically fit to undertake assigned tasks.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the Retail Store Premises.
• Monitor entry and exit points and investigate disturbances.
• Call for help in emergencies and operate theft-detection devices.
• Handle large crowds and maintain positive customer relations.

About the role

Title – Retail Security Support Officer

Pay Rate – £15.00

Location – Must be able to cover Meadowhall - Sheffield Ecclesall Road - Sheffield Crystal Peaks - Barnsley Cortonwood - Doncaster - and surrounding areas

Shift Timings – Up to 6 days a week available, shift times shall vary

You will be working in a well-known retail store, which holds various stock. Officers are responsible for providing safety and security to both staff and visitors alike.

Your main responsibilities may include:

• Patrolling the Retail Store Premises.


• Investigating Disturbances, as well as monitoring the entry and exit points of the retail store.


• Confidently calling for help in emergency situations and operating theft-detecting devices.


• Effectively dealing with large crowds and building positive customer relations.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following:

• SIA License.


• 5-year checkable work/career history.


• Experience in a similar role, would an advantage


• Physically fit to undertake given tasks.
