Job summary

BardWood is seeking a Retail Security Support Officer to patrol and safeguard a busy retail store network across Derby, Nottingham, and surrounding areas. You’ll monitor entry/exit points, respond to incidents, and support smooth customer service while maintaining high safety levels.

The role requires an SIA license, a 5-year work history, and the ability to work up to 6 shifts per week with flexible timings. A full UK driving licence and own vehicle are preferred.

Qualifications

• SIA License required.
• 5-year checkable work/career history required.
• Experience in a similar role would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Patrolling the Retail Store Premises.
• Investigating disturbances and monitoring entry/exit points.
• Calling for help in emergencies and operating theft-detecting devices.
• Building positive customer relations in a busy store environment.

About the role

Title – Retail Security Support Officer

Pay Rate – £15.50

Location – Must be able to cover stores in Derby - Derby Wyvern - Derby Kingsway - Ilkeston - Nottingham Chilwell - Nottingham Giltbrook - Burton-On-Trent - Ashby De La Zouch - Loughborough - and surrounding areas

Shift Timings – Up to 6 shifts per week, timings variable

You will be working in a well-known retail store, which holds various stock. Officers are responsible for providing safety and security to both staff and visitors alike.

Your main responsibilities may include:

• Patrolling the Retail Store Premises.
• Investigating Disturbances, as well as monitoring the entry and exit points of the retail store.
• Confidently calling for help in emergency situations and operating theft-detecting devices.
• Effectively dealing with large crowds and building positive customer relations.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following:

• SIA License.
• 5-year checkable work/career history.
• Experience in a similar role, would an advantage
• Physically fit to undertake given tasks.
• Possess the ability to work under pressure.
• Full UK Driving Licence and own vehicle
