BardWood Support Services Limited is hiring a Retail Security Support Officer to cover multiple stores across Derby, Ilkeston, Nottingham, and surrounding areas. The role involves patrolling premises, monitoring entry points, and responding to incidents to protect staff and customers.

The position requires a valid SIA license, a 5-year checkable work history, and the ability to work up to 6 shifts per week with flexible timings.

Qualifications

• SIA License is required.
• 5-year checkable work history or career history.
• Full UK Driving Licence and own vehicle preferred.
• Physically fit and able to work under pressure.
• Experience in a security role is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Patrol Retail Store Premises.
• Investigate disturbances and monitor entry/exit points.
• Call for help in emergencies and operate theft-detecting devices.
• Manage large crowds and maintain positive customer relations.
• Provide safety and security for staff and visitors.

About the role

Title – Retail Security Support Officer

Pay Rate – £15.50

Location – Must be able to cover stores in Derby - Derby Wyvern - Derby Kingsway - Ilkeston - Nottingham Chilwell - Nottingham Giltbrook - Burton-On-Trent - Ashby De La Zouch - Loughborough - and surrounding areas

Shift Timings – Up to 6 shifts per week, timings variable

You will be working in a well-known retail store, which holds various stock. Officers are responsible for providing safety and security to both staff and visitors alike.

Your main responsibilities may include:

• Patrolling the Retail Store Premises.
• Investigating Disturbances, as well as monitoring the entry and exit points of the retail store.
• Confidently calling for help in emergency situations and operating theft-detecting devices.
• Effectively dealing with large crowds and building positive customer relations.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following:

• SIA License.
• 5-year checkable work/career history.
• Experience in a similar role, would an advantage
• Physically fit to undertake given tasks.
• Possess the ability to work under pressure.
• Full UK Driving Licence and own vehicle
