Job summary

BardWood Support Services is recruiting a Retail Security Officer for a well-known retail store in Sunderland. The role offers a 13.10 per hour rate with Thursday–Saturday 06:00–14:00 shifts, and the transfer to client on permanent basis after 12 weeks with extensive benefits.

You will patrol premises, monitor access points, respond to incidents, operate theft-detection devices, and help maintain positive customer relations while ensuring staff and visitor safety.

Qualifications

• SIA license is mandatory.
• 5-year checkable work/career history is required.
• Experience in a similar security role is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Patrolling the Retail Store Premises.
• Monitoring entry and exit points and investigating disturbances.
• Calling for help in emergencies and operating theft-detecting devices.
• Managing large crowds and maintaining positive customer relations.

About the role

Title – Retail Security Officer

Pay Rate – 13.10 PH

Location – Sunderland

Shift Timings – Thursday–Saturday 06:00–14:00.

You will be working in a well-known retail store, which holds various stock. Officers are responsible for providing safety and security to both staff and visitors alike.

Your main responsibilities may include:

• Patrolling the Retail Store Premises.
• Investigating Disturbances, as well as monitoring the entry and exit points of the retail store.
• Confidently calling for help in emergency situations and operating theft-detecting devices.
• Effectively dealing with large crowds and building positive customer relations.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following:

• SIA License.
• 5-year checkable work/career history.
• Experience in a similar role, would an advantage
• Physically fit to undertake given tasks.
• Possess the ability to work under pressure.
