BardWood Support Services is seeking a Retail Security Officer for a well-known retail store in Northampton. The role involves patrolling premises, monitoring access, and responding to incidents to safeguard staff and customers.

You will be trained and supported through a 12-week temporary-to-permanent transfer, with a range of employee benefits and progression opportunities within the team.

Qualifications

• SIA Licence requirement.
• Minimum 5-year checkable work/career history.
• Experience in a similar security role is advantageous.
• Must be physically fit and able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Patrolling the Retail Store Premises.
• Monitoring entry and exit points and investigating disturbances.
• Call for help in emergencies and operate theft-detecting devices.
• Build positive customer relations while managing large crowds.

About the role

Title – Retail Security Officer

Pay Rate – 12.71

Location – Overstone Leys, Northampton

Shift Timings – Fulltime 36 hours per week

You will be working in a well-known retail store, which holds various stock. Officers are responsible for providing safety and security to both staff and visitors alike.

Your main responsibilities may include:

• Patrolling the Retail Store Premises.
• Investigating Disturbances, as well as monitoring the entry and exit points of the retail store.
• Confidently calling for help in emergency situations and operating theft-detecting devices.
• Effectively dealing with large crowds and building positive customer relations.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following:

• SIA License.
• 5-year checkable work/career history.
• Experience in a similar role, would an advantage
• Physically fit to undertake given tasks.
• Possess the ability to work under pressure.
