Job summary

BardWood Support Services is hiring a Retail Security Officer for a busy Uttoxeter store. The role covers guarding staff and customers, patrolling floors, monitoring entrances, and responding to incidents. Training and continuous development are provided as you transfer to the client on permanent basis after 12 weeks.

The position requires a full-time, 45-hour week with weekend work. Salary is stated as £14.05 per hour with comprehensive benefits upon permanent transfer.

Qualifications

• SIA License is required.
• 5-year checkable work/career history is required.
• Experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
• Must be physically fit and able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the retail store premises.
• Investigate disturbances and monitor entry/exit points.
• Call for help in emergencies and operate theft-detecting devices.
• Engage with large crowds and build positive customer relations.

About the role

Title – Retail Security Officer

Pay Rate – £14.05

Shift Timings – Full time, 45 hours per week, must be fully flexible and able to work weekends

You will be working in a well-known retail store, which holds various stock. Officers are responsible for providing safety and security to both staff and visitors alike.

Your main responsibilities may include:

• Patrolling the Retail Store Premises.
• Investigating Disturbances, as well as monitoring the entry and exit points of the retail store.
• Confidently calling for help in emergency situations and operating theft-detecting devices.
• Effectively dealing with large crowds and building positive customer relations.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following:

• SIA License.
