Job summary

Kingdom Group, working in partnership with Tesco, is seeking a professional, customer-focused Security Flexi Relief Officer to join our team at Tesco Kettering. The role covers multiple Tesco stores across Northampton, Corby, Wellingborough, Rushden and Kettering areas.

This permanent position offers 0–48 hours per week with flexibility to cover holidays, sickness and other client requirements across the region.

Qualifications

• Valid SIA Security Licence is required.
• Own transport and full driving licence are essential.
• Full 5-year checkable employment history is required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Professional, reliable and confident manner.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Good attention to detail.
• Retail security experience is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular store patrols.
• Act as a visible deterrent to theft, loss and anti-social behaviour.
• Monitor and respond to incidents appropriately.
• Support store colleagues in maintaining a safe retail environment.
• Complete incident reports and documentation accurately.
• Deliver excellent customer service and assist customers when required.
• Handle challenging situations professionally and confidently.
• Follow all site security procedures and policies.
• Travel between sites as required to provide relief cover.

Retail Security Support Officer

Location: Tesco Kettering, NN15 6XB (covering Northampton, Corby, Wellingborough, Rushden and Kettering areas)
Pay: £13.72 per hour
Position: Permanent
Hours: Average 0 to 48 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7 on a flexible rota, Monday to Sunday
Shifts: 8-hour shifts on a rotating basis of 07:00 to 15:00, 15:00 to 23:00 and 16:00 to 00:00
Requirements: Valid SIA Security Licence and own transport essential
