Job summary

Kingdom Group is recruiting a Retail Security Relief Officer to support Tesco stores in Mablethorpe and Skegness. You will provide cover for holidays and sickness, maintain a safe environment, and deliver excellent customer service while representing the Kingdom brand.

Role requires 0–35 hours per week, working 5 days over 7 with flexible shifts across early to late, including weekends and bank holidays. A valid SIA licence and driving ability are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid SIA Licence (Door Supervision or Security Guarding)
• Full 5-year checkable work history
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Access to your own vehicle (essential)
• Ability to travel between store locations as required
• Strong communication and customer service skills

Responsibilities

• Patrol and monitor store premises to maintain safety and security
• Act as a visible deterrent to theft, damage, trespassing, and anti-social behaviour
• Prevent unauthorised access to restricted areas
• Respond promptly to incidents, alarms, and emergency situations
• Monitor CCTV systems and report suspicious activity
• Control access for staff, visitors, and contractors
• Complete accurate incident reports, occurrence logs, and daily records
• Provide professional customer service and assistance to customers and colleagues
• Support store teams in maintaining a safe working environment
• Follow all Health & Safety and company procedures
• Liaise with Police, Fire, Ambulance, and other emergency services when required
• Maintain high standards of professionalism at all times

Location: Tesco Mablethorpe & Skegness

Pay Rate: £13.72 per hour

Hours: 0- 35 Hours Per Week

Shift Pattern: Working any day across Monday to Sunday, full flexibility required.

Shift Times: Early and late shifts between 06:00 and 00:00. Typical shifts are 07:00 to 14:00 and 14:00/15:00 to 23:00/00:00.

Relief Cover & Flexibility Requirements

This role involves providing relief cover for holidays, sickness, and other absences across multiple Tesco store locations, including:

• Tesco Skegness - PE25 3PQ
• Tesco Mablethorpe - LN12 1FN

The successful candidate must be able to travel and work within a 10-15 mile radius of the locations listed above.

This is a relief position offering 0-35 hours per week, working 5 days over 7 on a flexible rota. Full flexibility is essential to support business requirements across all designated locations.

Shifts operate between 06:00 and 00:00, with typical shift patterns of 07:00 to 14:00 and 14:00/15:00 to 23:00/00:00. Candidates must be available to work:

• Early shifts
• Late shifts
• Weekends
• Bank Holidays

Whilst full-time hours cannot be guaranteed initially, there is potential for hours to increase over time, with opportunities to progress into a full-time or core store position, subject to business needs.
