Job summary

Cys Security Ltd. is hiring a Security Officer to create a safe, welcoming environment in our retail stores across Scotland. You’ll be a visible, professional presence, deter risk and respond to incidents while delivering great service to customers and colleagues.

This role requires a valid SIA licence, a calm, proactive mindset and strong communication. Expect 40+ hours per week at £13.58 per hour with benefits including a colleague discount and licence renewals.

Qualifications

• Prior security experience is preferred.
• Valid SIA licence is required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate in a fast-paced retail environment, staying alert and ready to step in when needed.
• Create a welcoming store environment, greeting customers and delivering professional support to customers and colleagues.
• Help keep stores safe and secure, prevent loss, respond to incidents and identify risks.
• Use store technology, including mobile reporting systems and body-worn cameras, to support operations and incident management.
• Stay calm under pressure and act professionally in challenging situations.
• Work closely with store colleagues to maintain high standards and support operations.
• Adapt to changing situations to support the store day by day.
