Mitie is seeking a confident Retail Security Officer to protect customers and staff on the shop floor, deter theft, and maintain a safe, welcoming environment. The role offers flexible shifts discussed at interview and a paid lunch break.

You will work with store teams, use CCTV appropriately, and engage with local partners. A valid SIA licence or willingness to complete training is required, plus a 5-year checkable history. Mitie provides paid breaks, training, and progression opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Providing a visible, reassuring presence on the shop floor
• Delivering outstanding customer service at all times
• Deterring theft, anti-social behaviour and public order offences
• Carrying out regular store patrols
• Operating CCTV systems to reduce crime and stock loss
• Working closely with store management teams
• Supporting partnerships with Police and local crime networks
• Using Body Worn CCTV to enhance safety for everyone onsite
