Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is seeking a Retail Security Officer to provide a visible presence on the shop floor, deliver excellent customer service and deter theft while ensuring a safe shopping environment for customers and staff.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid SIA licence.
• A full 5-year checkable employment or education history is essential for vetting.
• Proactive, professional and customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible, reassuring presence on the shop floor.
• Deliver outstanding customer service at all times.
• Deter theft, anti-social behaviour and public order offences.
• Carry out regular store patrols.
• Operate CCTV systems to reduce crime and stock loss.
• Work closely with store management teams.
• Support partnerships with Police and local crime networks.
• Use Body Worn CCTV to enhance safety for everyone onsite.
