Job summary

ASEL, part of the Argenbright Holdings Group, is seeking a Retail Security Officer in Runcorn. The role focuses on visible deterrence, incident response, and collaboration with local authorities to reduce risk at the store level.

A current SIA licence is essential, with full training provided as needed. Applicants should be able to provide a 5-year history and must hold a valid SIA Guarding or Door Supervisor licence.

Qualifications

• You must have a valid SIA licence to apply for this role.
• Retail security experience is advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided.
• Applicants must provide a full 5-year checkable work or education history.
• You must hold a current SIA Guarding or SIA Door Supervisor licence to apply.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the shop floor to deter crime and ensure safety of customers and staff.
• Respond to incidents and complete detailed incident reports.
• Collaborate with local authorities as required.
• Manage vulnerable persons with empathy and discretion.
• Conduct searches of colleagues and contractors when needed in line with policy.
• Digitally report incidents and use tablets/phones for daily activity planning.
• Provide clear, legible incident reports to assist clients and authorities.
