Job summary

ASEL, part of the Argenbright Holdings Group, is seeking a dedicated Security Officer for our Rotherham site. You will deter crime, patrol the shop floor, deter incidents and respond to alerts while maintaining a visible presence and working closely with local authorities.

You must hold a valid SIA licence, provide a full five-year checkable history, and bring right-to-work documents to interview. The role offers 17+ hours weekly with an hourly rate of £13.45.

Qualifications

• You must hold a valid SIA licence to apply for this role.
• Previous experience in a retail security role is advantageous but training will be provided.
• You must be able to provide a full five-year checkable work or education history.
• Applicants must bring right to work documents and a recent proof of address to the interview.

Responsibilities

• Patrolling the shop floor and deterring criminal activity.
• Assessing and identifying vulnerabilities, and working proactively to minimise risk.
• Liaising with management and local authorities when applicable.
• Managing vulnerable persons with empathy to avoid distress.
• Completing colleague and contractor searches when required, in line with customer company policy.
• Digitally reporting incidents and using tablets or phones for daily activity planning.
• Producing detailed and legible incident reports to assist the client and local authorities.
