Job summary

Staffline, in partnership with TSS, seeks a Retail Security Officer to deter issues, observe and report on-site activities, and deliver friendly, professional service to staff and customers. You will follow loss prevention policies, maintain a visible uniformed presence, and perform on-site checks with accuracy.

An 18+ team player with strong communication is ideal; induction and on-site training are provided to support career progression.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible uniformed deterrent and contribute to safety of premises and staff.
• Observe and report incidents using correct reporting systems.
• Follow loss prevention policies and ensure staff and visitors are safe.
• Carry out duties as assigned by client or site manager.
• Keep site knowledge up to date and identify local developments.
• Implement fire and safety evacuation procedures as required.
• Assist with staff and contractor searches if required.
• Maintain a clean and tidy security base.
• Display full uniform and SIA licence.

Job description

As a Retail Security Officer your duties include:

• To provide a visible uniformed deterrent, to contribute to the safety and security of the client's premises and staff
• To carry out Company Policy on loss prevention and ensure the safety of staff and visitors
• To lawfully deter potential troublemakers on site
• To observe and report incidents using the correct reporting systems
• To carry out all duties assigned by the client or manager to whom you are responsible
• To ensure site knowledge is kept up to date and developments at local level are identified
• To understand and implement any Fire and Safety evacuation procedures
• To assist, if required by the Client, with staff and contractor searches
• To ensure that the Security base is always maintained in a clean and tidy condition
• To conduct yourself, at all times, in a manner which will bring credit to yourself and the Company, ensuring full uniform is worn and SIA licence is clearly displayed
