Job summary

Staffline, partnering with TSS, is recruiting a Retail Security Officer to protect client premises with a visible uniformed presence and professional service. You will follow loss prevention policies, deter trouble, observe and report incidents, and assist with searches when required.

As a valued team member, you will stay up to date with local site developments, participate in on-site training, and ensure the security base remains clean and well-maintained while wearing full uniform and

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Aged 18 or over; able to join as a security officer.
• SIA licence clearly displayed.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible uniformed deterrent and contribute to safety.
• Observe and report incidents using the correct reporting systems.
• Deterrent of troublemakers on site within legal boundaries.
• Carry out duties as directed by client or manager.
• Keep site knowledge up to date and note local developments.
• Understand and implement Fire and Safety evacuation procedures.
• Assist with staff and contractor searches if required.
• Maintain the security base in a clean and tidy condition.
• Wear full uniform with SIA licence clearly displayed.

Job description

As a Retail Security Officer your duties include:

• To provide a visible uniformed deterrent, to contribute to the safety and security of the client's premises and staff


• To carry out Company Policy on loss prevention and ensure the safety of staff and visitors


• To lawfully deter potential troublemakers on site


• To observe and report incidents using the correct reporting systems


• To carry out all duties assigned by the client or manager to whom you are responsible


• To ensure site knowledge is kept up to date and developments at local level are identified


• To understand and implement any Fire and Safety evacuation procedures


• To assist, if required by the Client, with staff and contractor searches


• To ensure that the Security base is always maintained in a clean and tidy condition


• To conduct yourself, at all times, in a manner which will bring credit to yourself and the Company, ensuring full uniform is worn and SIA licence is clearly displayed
