Job summary

Kingdom Services Group is recruiting a Retail Security Officer for Tesco Newcastle. You will provide a visible security presence, protect customers and store assets, and deliver excellent customer service while supporting the store team.

Flexible with shifts to meet business needs, you will work 32–48 hours per week across Wednesday to Sunday. The role requires a valid SIA licence, own transport, and a full UK driving licence, with a strong emphasis on calm, professional conduct and effective

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols throughout the store and surrounding areas
• Act as a visible deterrent to theft and store losses
• Monitor incidents and security concerns and respond appropriately
• Complete incident reports and maintain records
• Monitor CCTV where authorised
• Support store management and colleagues with security matters
• Deliver excellent customer service and assist customers
• Carry out loss prevention duties and reduce stock shrinkage
• Ensure a safe environment for customers, visitors and employees

Retail Security Officer - Tesco Partnership

Location: Tesco Newcastle, NE3 2FP
Pay: £13.47 per hour
Hours: 32 - 48 Hours Per Week
Shift Pattern: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday
Shift Times: 06:00 - 14:00, 14:00 - 22:00 or 10:00 - 22:00 (subject to business needs)
Requirement: Valid SIA Licence and Own Transport Required

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a customer-facing environment while helping to maintain a safe and secure shopping experience. You will provide a visible security presence, protect customers, colleagues and store assets, and deliver excellent customer service while supporting the wider store team.

The successful candidate must be flexible with working hours and willing to work a variety of shifts based on business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols throughout the store and surrounding areas
• Act as a visible deterrent to theft, anti-social behaviour and store losses
• Monitor and respond appropriately to incidents and security concerns
• Complete accurate incident reports and maintain detailed records
• Monitor CCTV systems where authorised
• Support store management and colleagues with security-related matters
• Deliver excellent customer service and assist customers when required
• Carry out loss prevention duties and reduce stock shrinkage
• Ensure a safe environment for customers, visitors and employees

What We're Looking For

• Valid SIA Licence
• Own transport and full UK driving licence required
