BardWood Support Services is recruiting a Retail Security Officer for a busy store in Newton Abbot. You will patrol the premises, monitor entry/exit points, and respond to disturbances while assisting staff and visitors with safety and security.

The role requires a valid SIA license, a 5-year checkable work history, and fitness to perform the duties, with the opportunity to transition to permanent employment after 12 weeks.

Qualifications

• SIA license is mandatory.
• Minimum 5-year checkable work history.
• Experience in a similar security role is an advantage.
• Must be physically fit and able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Patrol Retail Store Premises.
• Investigate disturbances and monitor entry/exit points.
• Call for help in emergencies and operate theft-detecting devices.
• Build positive customer relations while maintaining security.

About the role

Title – Retail Security Officer

Pay Rate – 13.10 PH

Location – Newton Abbot

Shift Timings – Must be fully flexible as per clients requirements

You will be working in a well-known retail store, which holds various stock. Officers are responsible for providing safety and security to both staff and visitors alike.

Your main responsibilities may include:

• Patrolling the Retail Store Premises.
• Investigating Disturbances, as well as monitoring the entry and exit points of the retail store.
• Confidently calling for help in emergency situations and operating theft-detecting devices.
• Effectively dealing with large crowds and building positive customer relations.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following:

• SIA License.
• 5-year checkable work/career history.
• Experience in a similar role, would an advantage
• Physically fit to undertake given tasks.
• Possess the ability to work under pressure.
