Job summary

Staffline is recruiting a Retail Security Officer for the Guildford area. You will provide a visible deterrent, ensure safety on site, and follow company policy on loss prevention, while reporting incidents with the correct systems.

The role requires a valid SIA licence, strong customer service, and a professional, cooperative approach. Hours and shifts are varied, and the candidate should be comfortable with admin tasks on digital devices.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible uniformed deterrent to enhance safety.
• Follow loss prevention policies and ensure staff safety.
• Deter troublemakers and observe/report incidents using proper systems.
• Perform duties assigned by the client or manager.
• Keep site knowledge up to date and follow evacuation procedures.
• Assist with staff/contractor searches if required.
• Maintain a clean, tidy security base and present a professional image.
• Wear full uniform with SIA licence clearly displayed.

Position: Retail Security Officer

Locations: Guildford

Pay Rate: £14.70 per hour

Hours & Shifts: Various

Applicants will hold an SIA Licence.

Your Time at Work

As a Retail Security Officer you will be responsible for:

• To provide a visible uniformed deterrent, to contribute to the safety and security of the client's premises and staff
• To carry out Company Policy on loss prevention and ensure the safety of staff and visitors
• To lawfully deter potential troublemakers on site
• To observe and report incidents using the correct reporting systems
• To carry out all duties assigned by the client or manager to whom you are responsible
• To ensure site knowledge is kept up to date and developments at local level are identified
• To understand and implement any Fire and Safety evacuation procedures
• To assist, if required by the Client, with staff and contractor searches
• To ensure that the Security base is always maintained in a clean and tidy condition
• To conduct yourself, at all times, in a manner which will bring credit to yourself and the Company, ensuring full uniform is worn and SIA license is clearly displayed
