Job summary

Staffline, working with TSS, seeks a Retail Security Officer for a Weymouth site. You will be a visible security presence, protecting staff and visitors and enforcing loss prevention policies in a busy retail environment.

The ideal candidate will hold an SIA licence, be 18 or over, and possess strong communication and customer service skills. The company offers training, progression opportunities, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible uniformed deterrent and ensure safety of staff and visitors.
• Follow company loss prevention policies to protect assets.
• Observe and report incidents using the correct reporting systems.
• Deterrence of potential troublemakers on site in a lawful manner.
• Maintain up-to-date site knowledge and note local developments.
• Understand and implement Fire and Safety evacuation procedures.
• Assist, if required, with staff and contractor searches.
• Ensure the security base is kept clean and tidy.
• Wears full uniform with SIA licence clearly displayed.
• Carry out duties as directed by the client or manager.

Position: Retail Security Officer

Location: Weymouth

Pay Rate: £14.35 per hour

Hours: Various

Shifts: Various

SG / DS SIA licence required.

Your Time at Work

• To provide a visible uniformed deterrent, to contribute to the safety and security of the client's premises and staff
• To carry out Company Policy on loss prevention and ensure the safety of staff and visitors
• To lawfully deter potential troublemakers on site
• To observe and report incidents using the correct reporting systems
• To carry out all duties assigned by the client or manager to whom you are responsible
• To ensure site knowledge is kept up to date and developments at local level are identified
• To understand and implement any Fire and Safety evacuation procedures
• To assist, if required by the Client, with staff and contractor searches
• To ensure that the Security base is always maintained in a clean and tidy condition
• To conduct yourself, at all times, in a manner which will bring credit to yourself and the Company, ensuring full uniform is worn and SIA licence is clearly displayed
