Job summary

Staffline, in partnership with TSS, is hiring a Retail Security Officer in Uckfield. You’ll provide a visible, uniformed deterrent to protect premises and staff, uphold loss prevention policies, and ensure safe operations. A valid SIA licence is required, and you’ll work with a team to safeguard customers and colleagues.

The role involves varied hours with on-site duties, training, and progression opportunities within a global security solutions provider.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible uniformed deterrent to protect people and property.
• Follow loss prevention policies and ensure safety of staff and visitors.
• Deter troublemakers and observe/report incidents using proper systems.
• Carry out duties assigned by client or manager.
• Keep site knowledge up-to-date and follow fire/safety procedures.
• Assist with staff and contractor searches when required.
• Maintain a clean and tidy security base.
• Present a professional image and display SIA licence prominently.

Position: Retail Security Officer

Location: Uckfield

Pay Rate: £14.70 per hour

Hours: Various

Shifts: Various

SG / DS SIA licence required.

Your Time at Work

As a Retail Security Officer your duties include:

• To provide a visible uniformed deterrent, to contribute to the safety and security of the client's premises and staff
• To carry out Company Policy on loss prevention and ensure the safety of staff and visitors
• To lawfully deter potential troublemakers on site
• To observe and report incidents using the correct reporting systems
• To carry out all duties assigned by the client or manager to whom you are responsible
• To ensure site knowledge is kept up to date and developments at local level are identified
• To understand and implement any Fire and Safety evacuation procedures
• To assist, if required by the Client, with staff and contractor searches
• To ensure that the Security base is always maintained in a clean and tidy condition
• To conduct yourself, at all times, in a manner which will bring credit to yourself and the Company, ensuring full uniform is worn and SIA licence is clearly displayed
