Job summary

Staffline in partnership with TSS is recruiting a Retail Security Officer for Greenock. You’ll guard client premises, deter loss and ensure safety while presenting a professional image in uniform.

Ideal candidates hold an SIA licence, are 18+, and enjoy a supportive development path with a large international company offering training, regular reviews and welfare checks. The role is 35 hours with a 5-in-7 shift pattern.

Qualifications

• SIA licence is essential for the role.
• Strong communication and customer service skills are required.
• Experience in security or frontline roles is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible uniformed deterrent to protect people and property.
• Observe and report incidents using approved logging systems.
• Enforce site policies and safety procedures as directed by the client.
• Respond promptly to security incidents and emergencies on site.
• Assist staff and contractors while maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Keep up-to-date with local site developments and trainings.
• Ensure security base is clean and properly maintained.
• Display a full uniform and SIA licence visibly at all times.

Position: Retail Security Officer

Location: Greenock

Pay Rate: £14.35 per hour

Hours: 35

Shifts: working 5 days over 7

Your Time at Work

• Providing a visible uniformed deterrent, to contribute to the safety and security of the client's premises and staff
• Carrying out Company Policy on loss prevention and ensuring the safety of staff and visitors
• Lawfully deter potential troublemakers on site
• Observe and report incidents using the correct reporting systems
• Carrying out all duties assigned by the client or manager to whom you are responsible
• Ensuring site knowledge is kept up to date and developments at the local level are identified
• Understanding and implementing any Fire and Safety evacuation procedures
• Assisting, if required by the Client, with staff and contractor searches
• Ensuring that the Security base is always maintained in a clean and tidy condition
• Conducting yourself, at all times, in a manner which will bring credit to yourself and the Company, ensuring a full uniform is worn, and an SIA licence is clearly displayed
