Job summary

Staffline is recruiting for a Security Officer on a full-time basis with weekend shifts. The role involves visible uniformed security to deter threats, uphold loss prevention policies, and protect staff and visitors on client premises.

You will observe and report incidents, keep knowledge up to date, and comply with fire and evacuation procedures. Training, progression, and welfare checks are provided as part of a large international security group.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proficient with digital devices and admin systems.
• Must be aged 18 or over.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible uniformed deterrent and contribute to safety of client premises and staff.
• Enforce company policy on loss prevention and ensure staff and visitors are safe.
• Deter potential troublemakers on site in a law-abiding manner.
• Observe and report incidents using the correct reporting systems.
• Carry out duties assigned by the client or manager.
• Keep site knowledge up to date and identify local developments.
• Understand and implement on-site fire and safety evacuation procedures.
• Assist with staff and contractor searches when required by the client.
• Maintain the security base in a clean and tidy condition.
• Act in a manner that reflects well on the company and ensure full uniform and SIA licence displayed.

SG / DS SIA licence required.

Your Time at Work

• To provide a visible uniformed deterrent, to contribute to the safety and security of the client's premises and staff
• To carry out Company Policy on loss prevention and ensure the safety of staff and visitors
• To lawfully deter potential troublemakers on site
• To observe and report incidents using the correct reporting systems
• To carry out all duties assigned by the client or manager to whom you are responsible
• To ensure site knowledge is kept up to date and developments at local level are identified
• To understand and implement any Fire and Safety evacuation procedures
• To assist, if required by the Client, with staff and contractor searches
• To ensure that the Security base is always maintained in a clean and tidy condition
• To conduct yourself, at all times, in a manner which will bring credit to yourself and the Company, ensuring full uniform is worn and SIA licence is clearly displayed
