Job summary

Staffline are recruiting a Retail Security Officer for Burgess Hill. The role requires an SIA licence and offers a pay rate of £14.70 per hour with various shifts.

You will provide a visible uniformed deterrent and help ensure the safety of staff and visitors. The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator with strong customer service skills, comfortable using digital devices, and ready to follow client procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible uniformed deterrent to deter troublemakers on site.
• Contribute to safety and security of the client's premises and staff.
• Observe and report incidents using the correct reporting systems.
• Deter potential troublemakers and ensure safety of staff and visitors.
• Carry out all duties as directed by the client or site manager.
• Keep site knowledge up to date and identify local developments.
• Understand and implement Fire and Safety evacuation procedures.
• Assist with staff and contractor searches if required.
• Maintain the security base in a clean and tidy condition.
• Wear full uniform with SIA licence clearly displayed.

SG / DS SIA licence required.

Your Time at Work

• To provide a visible uniformed deterrent, to contribute to the safety and security of the client's premises and staff


• To carry out Company Policy on loss prevention and ensure the safety of staff and visitors


• To lawfully deter potential troublemakers on site


• To observe and report incidents using the correct reporting systems


• To carry out all duties assigned by the client or manager to whom you are responsible


• To ensure site knowledge is kept up to date and developments at local level are identified


• To understand and implement any Fire and Safety evacuation procedures


• To assist, if required by the Client, with staff and contractor searches


• To ensure that the Security base is always maintained in a clean and tidy condition


• To conduct yourself, at all times, in a manner which will bring credit to yourself and the Company, ensuring full uniform is worn and SIA licence is clearly displayed
