Job summary

Staffline, in partnership with TSS, is recruiting Retail Security Officers for opportunities across Crediton and other sites. Training and an SIA license are provided, with emphasis on customer service and a visible security presence.

Great for those new to security or seeking progression within a large international company. Role involves enforcing safety procedures and maintaining site security standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible uniformed deterrent and protect client premises and staff.
• Follow company policy on loss prevention and safety of staff and visitors.
• Deterrence of potential troublemakers on site within the law.
• Observe and report incidents using approved reporting systems.
• Carry out duties as directed by the client or site manager.
• Keep site knowledge up to date and monitor local developments.
• Understand and implement fire and safety evacuation procedures.
• Assist with staff and contractor searches if required by the client.
• Maintain security base in a clean, tidy condition and display the SIA licence.
• Represent yourself and Staffline with professionalism and keep uniform clearly presented.

Retail Security Officers

opportunities available across multiple locations and sites. This is an exciting opportunity whether you're experienced in security or looking to take your first step into the industry. If you are new in the security industry and currently don't hold license, TSS will provide you with

full paid for training and an SIA license.

What You'll Be Doing

• To provide a visible uniformed deterrent, to contribute to the safety and security of the client's premises and staff


• To carry out Company Policy on loss prevention and ensure the safety of staff and visitors


• To lawfully deter potential troublemakers on site


• To observe and report incidents using the correct reporting systems


• To carry out all duties assigned by the client or manager to whom you are responsible


• To ensure site knowledge is kept up to date and developments at local level are identified


• To understand and implement any Fire and Safety evacuation procedures


• To assist, if required by the Client, with staff and contractor searches


• To ensure that the Security base is always maintained in a clean and tidy condition


• To conduct yourself, at all times, in a manner which will bring credit to yourself and the Company, ensuring full uniform is worn and SIA licence is clearly displayed

It is crucial to have great communication and customer service skills. A lot of admin is digital and paperless, so you'll need to be tech-savvy enough to use our digital devices.
