Job summary

Staffline, in partnership with TSS, is recruiting a Retail Security Officer in Carlisle. You will provide a visible, uniformed presence to deter incidents and protect people and premises, while following client procedures.

The role offers shifts between 8am and 6.30pm with the pay rate of £15.50 per hour. Applicants must hold a valid SIA licence and be aged 18 or over; training and progression opportunities are provided by a leading international security company.

Qualifications

• Tech-savvy enough to use digital devices.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible uniformed deterrent to enhance safety.
• Follow loss prevention policy and ensure staff and visitor safety.
• Deter potential troublemakers on site.
• Observe and report incidents using the client’s reporting systems.
• Perform duties as assigned by the client or manager.
• Keep site knowledge updated and note local developments.
• Understand and implement Fire and Safety evacuation procedures.
• Assist with staff and contractor searches if required.
• Keep the security base clean and tidy.
• Conduct yourself professionally, display SIA licence.

Location: Carlisle

Pay Rate: £15.50 per hour

Hours: Between 8am and 6.30pm

Shifts: Various

Your Time at Work

As a Retail Security Officer your duties include:

• To provide a visible uniformed deterrent, to contribute to the safety and security of the client's premises and staff
• To carry out Company Policy on loss prevention and ensure the safety of staff and visitors
• To lawfully deter potential troublemakers on site
• To observe and report incidents using the correct reporting systems
• To carry out all duties assigned by the client or manager to whom you are responsible
• To ensure site knowledge is kept up to date and developments at local level are identified
• To understand and implement any Fire and Safety evacuation procedures
• To assist, if required by the Client, with staff and contractor searches
• To ensure that the Security base is always maintained in a clean and tidy condition
• To conduct yourself, at all times, in a manner which will bring credit to yourself and the Company, ensuring full uniform is worn and SIA licence is clearly displayed
