Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is hiring a Retail Security Officer for Lidl Blackwater Store. The role involves maintaining a safe retail environment, deterring theft, and using CCTV/EAS systems. Full training and a comprehensive induction are provided.

Shifts are 40 hours per week with 4 on/4 off rotation. The role carries a competitive hourly rate of £13.45, with benefits through Mitie’s flexible schemes and opportunities for progression within a leading facilities management company.

Qualifications

• Five-year checkable employment history or documentary evidence of any unemployment, self-employment, or education.
• Previous retail security experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Act as a visual deterrent on the shop floor and deter theft.
• Safely detain offenders following H&S training when required.
• Utilise store security systems including CCTV and EAS gates.
• Collaborate with covert security operatives and report incidents with accuracy.
• Complete incident reports and company documentation promptly.

Responsibilities

• Act as a visual deterrent on the shop floor
• Safely detain offenders following H&S training
• Utilize store security systems, including CCTV and EAS gates
• Collaborate with covert security operatives
• Investigate losses and support inquiries about known offenders
• Complete accurate incident reports and company documentation
• Report crime incidents using a company-provided tablet
• Conduct routine patrols to ensure customer safety
• Record patrols in daily activity sheets
• Provide security updates during store briefings
• Conduct shift handovers to ensure service continuity
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all

Door Supervision or Security Guarding License

• -Five-year checkable employment history or documentary evidence of any period of unemployment, self-employment, or education

Desirable Experience

• -Previous experience in a retail security role
