Job summary

Brandon James Ltd in Newbury is seeking a Project Manager to lead retail projects, with opportunities to broaden into other property and construction sectors as the role develops. You will manage inception-to-completion cycles, coordinating clients, consultants and contractors while developing your technical and client-facing skills.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working within a construction consultancy.
• Retail project experience would be highly beneficial
• Experience delivering projects through pre-contract and construction stages
• A degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, or a related discipline
• MRICS, MAPM, MCIOB, or working towards a relevant professional qualification
• Good knowledge of JCT contracts and construction procurement
• Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills
• Experience coordinating consultants and contractors
• A proactive, organised, and commercially aware approach

Responsibilities

• Lead retail projects from inception to completion and broaden sector exposure over time.
• Manage programme, procurement, consultant coordination, contract administration, risk and change control.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, chair meetings, monitor contractor performance, and maintain client relationships.
• Ensure projects stay on programme, within budget and meet required quality standards.
• Develop own commissions and progressively take broader responsibility
