Job summary

JD Group is seeking a People Development Manager to lead the development strategy for our North retail network. You will design and deliver training, coach managers, and partner with regional leaders to drive performance and ROI across the region.

The role requires strong facilitation, stakeholder management and ILM-standard delivery, with travel across the North to support stores and teams.

• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management.
• Competent coaching and group facilitation skills.
• Strong learning design and delivery focused on performance improvement.
• Ability to analyse data to drive development decisions.
• Experience in project management and delivering ROI on training.

Responsibilities

• Scope, design and deliver performance-focused development sessions for retail teams.
• Collaborate with Area & Regional managers to improve KPI delivery through development activities.
• Conduct follow-up to measure impact and inform future learning needs.
• Provide individual and group coaching focused on personal and professional growth.
• Model a growth mindset and foster a learning culture across the group.
• Curate and share high quality learning content to enable social and self-directed learning.
• Ensure programmes meet ILM quality standards and align with business objectives.
• Travel frequently across the north region (North West, North Wales & Yorkshire).
