Job summary

Bestway Retail is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive end-to-end account management with retailers in the M4 Corridor. You will implement sales strategies, manage budgets, and maximise profitability across your area, building strong retailer relationships.

Permanent role offering a competitive salary and bonus scheme, plus 22 days holiday, pension and life assurance. You will lead with initiative, analyse financials, and work with cross-functional teams to deliver growth.

Qualifications

• Understanding of profit & loss, financial metrics and their impact on sales.
• Ability to identify opportunities for growth and development within assigned retailers.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Achieve set sales plans and implement strategies to grow area sales.
• Ensure profitability of the area in line with budgets and targets.
• Maximise retailer support for the independent brand.
• Oversee debt management in collaboration with support functions.
• Manage capital expenditure proposals and budgets for members.
• Ensure key accounts and members are serviced with tailored support.
• Deliver business initiatives on time with ownership and accuracy.
• Identify opportunities for capex and development with members and development team.
• Maintain knowledge of health and safety legislation and practices.
