Bestway Group is seeking a Business Development Manager to join our York-based team in a permanent role. You will own end-to-end account management with retailers in your area, driving profitability and growth.

You will oversee debt management and capital expenditure proposals while supporting key accounts with tailored solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong P&L literacy, a growth mindset, and excellent presentation and relationship-building skills.

Qualifications

• Understand profit and loss accounts and commercial/financial information.
• Identify opportunities for growth and development.
• Proficient with MS Word and Excel.
• Excellent presenting and influencing abilities.
• Confident, driven self-starter with initiative.
• Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Achieve set sales plans and implement strategies to grow area sales.
• Ensure profitability of the area in line with budgets and targets.
• Maximise retailer support for the independent brand.
• Oversee debt management with support functions.
• Manage capital expenditure proposals and budgets for members.
• Ensure key accounts are serviced with tailored support.
• Deliver business initiatives within agreed timescales with ownership.
• Identify capital expenditure opportunities with members and coordinate with development team.
