Job summary

Iceland Foods Ltd is seeking a Duty Manager to join Washington Food Warehouse. You will work as a Retail Assistant with a £2 per hour supplement when running shifts, and will focus on availability, driving sales, and executing actions from your line manager.

Key responsibilities include managing profit, engaging and developing staff, following formal processes, and leading the team to deliver excellent customer service daily.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail management or supervisory role ideal but not essential.
• Communicates effectively with every colleague to deliver store tasks first time, every time.
• Plans and organises the shift, using every member of the team.
• Provides balanced feedback when needed to improve the performance of every colleague.
• Sets the pace of the team, when on shift, by being hands on to deliver a great store.

Responsibilities

• Maximise profit: deliver great availability for your customers.
• Play an active role in your store to selling a £1 & save a £1 to drive sales.
• Deliver on all agreed actions set for you by your line manager.
• Proactively support and work with the Talking Shop Rep in your store.
• Support team engagement in your store.
• Create an inclusive culture where everyone can be their best.
• Complete actions set by your line manager focusing on customer perception.
• Maintain a positive service approach in-store and at the doorstep.
• Follow cash handling and security policies and processes.
• Contribute to best digital service through all One Best Way processes.
• Lead by example to get the best from your team for customers.
