Job summary

Iceland Foods Ltd Morpeth is seeking a Duty Manager to work in a retail environment as a Retail Assistant with an added £2 per hour premium when managing shifts. This role focuses on delivering excellent customer service, maintaining strong stock availability and supporting the store team.

You will lead shifts, oversee daily operations, and act as a representative of the store while ensuring adherence to policies and delivering value to customers.

Qualifications

• Retail management experience preferred but not required.
• Communicates effectively with colleagues to deliver tasks.
• Plans and organises shifts to use all team members.
• Provides balanced feedback to improve performance.
• Sets pace on shift by hands-on leadership.

Responsibilities

• Maximise profit by focusing on store availability and sales.
• Sell value to customers and support store actions from management.
• Deliver on actions set by the line manager.
• Support and engage store colleagues and Fair Work practices.
• Follow cash handling, security policies and standardised processes.
• Contribute to digital services and One Best Way initiatives.
• Lead the team when on shift to deliver a great store.
