Job summary

bp retail is recruiting a Temporary Customer Service Assistant for night shifts within a store environment. This initial 6-week contract includes full training and support to help you succeed from day one, with responsibilities across serving customers, food and drink preparation, stock management, and general store upkeep.

You will work as part of a team, ensuring safety, promoting bp offers and loyalty schemes, and delivering a positive customer experience in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service not required; training provided.
• Safety of customers and colleagues is a priority.
• Stock replenishment and food/drink service duties involved.

Responsibilities

• Serving customers efficiently and meeting their needs promptly.
• Preparing and serving food and drink from Wild Bean Café.
• Taking deliveries and replenishing stock; completing stock management tasks.
• Carrying out cleaning duties in store and forecourt.
• Supporting bp offers, promotions and loyalty scheme.

Individuals with a passion for customer service and who are energised by working together as a collaborative team within a fast-paced retail environment. We don't expect all who apply to have previous retail experience, as you will be provided with online and on-the-job training to support you to develop the skills and capabilities you will need to perform your role at bp.

What you will be responsible for

• Making sure that the safety of yourself, your colleagues and our customers, in line with bp policies and procedures, is your top priority
• Serving customers efficiently, ensuring their needs are met promptly and effectively
• Fostering a positive and inclusive work environment, in line with bp beliefs
• Preparing and serving food and drink items from our Wild Bean Café
• Taking in deliveries, replenishing stock and completing stock management tasks
• Being proactive in supporting bp's offers, promotions and loyalty scheme
• Carrying out cleaning duties in all aspects of the store, facilities and forecourt

This is an initial 6 week temporary contract. As a valued member of the bp retail team, you will receive full training and support to help you succeed in the role from day one.
