Job summary

bp retail is seeking a Temporary customer service assistant for an initial 6 week contract in Southampton. You will work in a fast-paced store environment, greet customers, serve food and drink from the Wild Bean Café, handle deliveries, stock replenishment and keep the store clean and welcoming.

Full training will be provided, and you’ll join a collaborative team focused on delivering great service and promoting bp offers and loyalty schemes to customers.

Qualifications

• Customer service oriented and eager to help customers.
• No previous retail experience required; training provided.
• Applicants welcome from 16+.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety of yourself, colleagues and customers according to bp policies.
• Serve customers efficiently and respond to their needs promptly.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive work environment aligned with bp beliefs.
• Prepare and serve food and drink from the Wild Bean Café.
• Receive deliveries, replenish stock and manage stock tasks.
• Support bp offers, promotions and the loyalty scheme.
• Carry out cleaning duties across store, facilities and forecourt.

What you will be responsible for

• Making sure that the safety of yourself, your colleagues and our customers, in line with bp policies and procedures, is your top priority
• Serving customers efficiently, ensuring their needs are met promptly and effectively
• Fostering a positive and inclusive work environment, in line with bp beliefs
• Preparing and serving food and drink items from our Wild Bean Café
• Taking in deliveries, replenishing stock and completing stock management tasks
• Being proactive in supporting bp’s offers, promotions and loyalty scheme
• Carrying out cleaning duties in all aspects of the store, facilities and forecourt

This is an initial 6 week temporary contract. As a valued member of the bp retail team, you will receive full training and support to help you succeed in the role from day one.
