Job summary

BP Retail is looking for a Customer Service Assistant in Melton Mowbray to join a fast-paced retail team. You'll be trained online and on the job, delivering friendly service to customers and supporting store operations.

Role includes serving Wild Bean Café items, stocking shelves, and promoting BP offers while contributing to a positive team atmosphere. Flexible hours and benefits are available. Applicants welcomed from 16+.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Online and on-the-job training provided.
• A passion for customer service and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Ensure customer safety and store policies are followed.
• Serve customers efficiently and respond to needs promptly.
• Foster a positive, inclusive work environment.
• Prepare and serve items from the Wild Bean Café.
• Handle deliveries, stock replenishment, and stock management.
• Promote BP offers, promotions and BP Loyalty scheme.
• Perform cleaning duties across store, facilities and forecourt.

What we are looking for

Individuals with a passion for customer service and who are energised by working together as a collaborative team within a fast-paced retail environment. We don’t expect all who apply to have previous retail experience, as you will be provided with online and on the job training to support you to develop the skills and capabilities you will need to perform your role at bp.

What you will be responsible for

• Making sure that safety of yourself, your colleagues, and the customer, in line with bp policies and procedures, is your top priority
• Serving customers efficiently, ensuring their needs are met promptly and effectively
• Fostering a positive and inclusive work environment, in line with bp beliefs
• Preparing and serving food and drink items from our Wild Bean Café
• Taking in deliveries, replenishing stock and stock management tasks
• Being proactive with supporting bp's offers, promotions and bp loyalty scheme
• Carrying out cleaning duties in all aspects of the store, facilities, and forecourt
