Job summary

BP Retail in Cheltenham is looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team. You will welcome customers, serve food and drinks from the Wild Bean Café, handle deliveries and stock, and support offers and loyalty schemes.

We provide online and on-the-job training so you can develop the skills needed to perform well. Flexible hours, competitive pay, holiday entitlement, wellbeing benefits, discounts, and pension support are offered.

Qualifications

• Passion for customer service and working in a collaborative team.
• No prior retail experience required; online and on-the-job training provided.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers efficiently and meet their needs promptly.
• Prepare and serve food and drink from the Wild Bean Café.
• Take deliveries, replenish stock, and manage stock tasks.
• Support bp's offers, promotions and loyalty schemes.
• Carry out cleaning duties across store, facilities, and forecourt.
• Maintain a safe environment in line with bp policies.

What we are looking for

Individuals with a passion for customer service and who are energised by working together as a collaborative team within a fast-paced retail environment. We don’t expect all who apply to have previous retail experience, as you will be provided with online and on the job training to support you to develop the skills and capabilities you will need to perform your role at bp.

What you will be responsible for

• Making sure that safety of yourself, your colleagues, and the customer, in line with bp policies and procedures, is your top priority
• Serving customers efficiently, ensuring their needs are met promptly and effectively
• Fostering a positive and inclusive work environment, in line with bp beliefs
• Preparing and serving food and drink items from our Wild Bean Café
• Taking in deliveries, replenishing stock and stock management tasks
• Being proactive with supporting bp's offers, promotions and bp loyalty scheme
• Carrying out cleaning duties in all aspects of the store, facilities, and forecourt
