Job summary

John Lewis Partnership in Cambridge is seeking a Customer Assistant to deliver outstanding customer service and create memorable in-store experiences. You’ll help customers, maintain shop standards, stock, displays, and keep areas clean while working across the shop to support the team.

Hours include a night premium for night hours and flexible shifts across seven days; the role offers a generous internal training program and opportunities to build a lifetime loyalty to the John Lewis brand.

Qualifications

• Basic IT literacy and strong communication skills.
• Customer-facing experience welcomed; training provided.
• Merchandising and product displays experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging customer service at every stage of the journey.
• Use product knowledge to drive sales and profits.
• Put customers first and resolve queries.
• Support till operations, stock, price tickets and shop-keeping tasks.
• Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
• Help protect profits with accurate stock counts.
