Job summary

Booker Group, part of Tesco plc, is seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join our Retail team. You will manage a portfolio of customer accounts across our Retail sector, ensuring timely payments and proactive credit control actions.

Collaborate with Branch, Depot, Customer Services and Sales teams, handling aged debt, credit limits, and cash allocations. Strong communication and relationship-building are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a Credit Control environment.
Strong understanding of Credit Management, Debt Recovery and Cash Collection.
Experience using SAP preferred.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Ability to build positive relationships with internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, including colleagues based in Branch and Depot, Customer Services, Retail Sales Teams and National Account Sales teams.
Manage portfolio of customer accounts and proactive collections to maximise cash recovery.
Proactively resolve customer queries to minimise payment delays and ensure prompt payment.
Work with Sales Ledger team to ensure timely cash allocation.
Monitor customer credit limits to minimise risk and support business needs.
Collaborate with Debt Collection team for delinquent debt recovery.
