Job summary

JD Sports is recruiting an Assistant Manager in the UK to drive store performance and coach the team toward ambitious sales targets. You will support the Store Manager in daily operations, uphold JD standards, and ensure excellent customer experiences.

Lead by example with strong commercial awareness, motivate staff, and maintain high standards across presentation, stock, and processes. This role offers opportunities for development within a fast‑paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail management or supervisory role.
• Ability to lead, develop, and motivate staff while delivering store priorities.
• Confident interpreting KPI and sales data to inform decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Store Manager with daily store operations to help achieve sales targets and KPIs.
• Lead and guide colleagues on the shop floor, allocating tasks and maintaining JD standards.
• Coach and develop the team with real‑time feedback and clear expectations.
• Maintain high presentation, pricing accuracy, tidy displays, and a safe environment.
• Carry out cash handling, till checks, stock audits, and opening/closing routines.
