Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is recruiting a Resuscitation Officer in Critical Care for NHSGGC North Sector. You will lead, shape and deliver high-quality resuscitation education across Glasgow Royal Infirmary, Stobhill SAC and Lightburn Hospital, supporting staff to provide safe patient care during critical events.

The role requires live NMC pin, ALS Instructor qualification, and proven experience in education, leadership and clinical governance.

Qualifications

Live NMC pin and current registration with relevant acute clinical experience.
ALS Instructor qualification or in candidacy, with ongoing professional development.
Proven experience delivering education, training and simulation-based learning in healthcare.

Responsibilities

Manage and develop a comprehensive resuscitation training programme in line with guidelines.
Deliver high-quality education and simulation training including ALS and BLS.
Attend clinical emergencies providing leadership and debriefing when required.
Mentor and guide staff following emergency situations and promote governance.
Lead governance and development of resuscitation equipment across sites.
Contribute to audits, research and policy development to enhance practice.
Collaborate with teams across NHSGGC to promote patient care excellence.
