Job summary

NHS National Services Scotland is seeking a Senior Resuscitation Officer to lead the resuscitation team at Royal Infirmary Edinburgh. The post is Band 7, 36 hours, permanent, with line management of Band 6 Officers.

The successful candidate will train and support staff across NHS Lothian’s acute and primary care settings and may cover the service lead in their absence. Based on the RIE campus, the role requires excellent communication and time management, plus certification as a RCUK ALS

Qualifications

• Experience in education, supporting clinical staff and in treating the deteriorating sick patient with extensive knowledge of an A-E assessment and SBAR.
• Certified RCUK ALS instructor.

Responsibilities

• Line management of Band 6 Resuscitation Officers.
• Train and support staff across NHS Lothian's acute and primary care settings.
• Provide cover for the service lead in their absence.
• Based on the RIE campus but expected to work across the organisation as required.
