Job summary

Kent County Council's Youth Justice Service is seeking a Restorative Community Development Practitioner to design, facilitate and deliver restorative and reparative interventions, activities and projects for children in the youth justice system.

You will work with multi-agency partners to create engaging resources responsive to trauma and challenging behaviours, with opportunities for accreditation of transferable skills and support for desistance.

Qualifications

• Experience engaging with adolescents who have experienced trauma and who can display challenging behaviours.
• Welcomes applicants with and without qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Create and facilitate restorative resources and activities for youth.
• Collaborate with multi-agency partners to ensure sustainability and inclusivity.
• Support desistance by offering constructive opportunities and transferable skills accreditation.
• Engage with victims to align activities with their wishes and feelings.
