Job summary

Kent County Council is seeking a permanent, full-time Youth Justice Practitioner to cover West Kent including Maidstone, Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells, Hawkhurst, Edenbridge and Sevenoaks. You will work with youths aged 10–18 to reduce reoffending, manage risk and vulnerability, and operate within a multi-agency framework.

The role involves attending court reports, delivering statutory interventions, and contributing to risk management through collaborative planning with partners.

Qualifications

• Assessments for young people aged 10-18
• Reports for Court and panels
• Interventions as part of statutory programme
• Work in partnership with multi-agency services
• Duty rota participation and court attendance

Responsibilities

• Complete assessments.
• Complete reports for Court and panels.
• Work directly with young people and families to deliver interventions.
• Attend Youth Justice team and multi-agency meetings for prevention and risk management.
