Job summary

The Coaching Inn Group is seeking a Restaurant Supervisor for The Pheasant, Kelling, Holt to lead a busy service and deliver hospitality from the heart. You will manage a section or the full restaurant, guide a team, and ensure opening/closing procedures and cash handling are performed to the highest standards.

Ideal candidates have food safety knowledge, guest‑focused service, and upselling skills to enhance guest experiences in a hotel dining setting.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and motivating a team in a busy restaurant.
• Ability to manage opening and closing procedures and cashing up.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, allergens and licensing requirements.
• Experience handling guest complaints professionally.
• Ability to upsell food, wine, drinks, sides and desserts.
• Collaborate closely with the kitchen to maintain service flow.
• Experience in a hotel restaurant or quality dining environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Run busy restaurant services and manage a section or the full restaurant.
• Lead and motivate the team, delegate tasks and maintain high standards.
• Implement opening and closing procedures, cashing up and basic admin.
• Uphold food safety, allergen knowledge and licensing compliance.
• Resolve guest complaints professionally and upsell menu items.
• Work closely with the kitchen to ensure smooth service flow.
• Support a hotel dining operation with a focus on guest experience.

The role is flexible and we would consider part time or full time, and it's a mix of week days, weekend, and evenings.
